Cowgirl's Guide to Beautiful Skin Recipes
Recipe for spring detoxifying soup Your skin will glow!
- 1 bunch spinach greens
- 1 bunch dandelion greens
- 1 bunch watercress greens
- 4 spring carrots
- ½ cup fresh green beans
- 3 cloves garlic
- 4-5 red or white new potatoes
- 4 quarts spring water
Wash and chop all vegetables and simmer for several hours. Puree the vegetables and add salt if necessary and additional water to create the consistency you like.
Exfoliating and energizing mask Your skin will glow more! Part 1
- 2 T. almond meal or corn meal
- 3 T. yogurt or buttermilk
Mix this into a thin paste and gently rub in a circular motion. The lactic acid in the dairy product gently penetrates and dissolves deadcells as the grains of the almond or corn mealgently lifts them away. Wash off gently.
Part 2
- 2 T. of green clay
- 8T. aloe vera gel or juice
- 2 drops peppermint, rosemary or lemon essential oil
Mix these ingredients into a paste, adding more or less aloe vera as needed. Using your fingers or a small pastry brush, gently paint the mask on to the face, avoiding the eye area. Allow to dry about 10 minutes, wash off with warm water and apply Cowgirl Cream.
